ABOUT US
Healing Voices is a youth-led digital initiative created to support emotional healing and mental wellness in post-conflict Northern Uganda. Born from the recognition that many survivors of war still suffer in silence, our platform uses the power of storytelling, community connection, and digital tools to promote recovery, resilience, and peace.
We work with war survivors, especially youth, to share their stories, access mental health resources, and connect with trained counselors online. Through blog posts, SMS support, forums, and outreach activities, Healing Voices creates a safe space where pain can be heard, hope can be restored, and healing can begin.
Our mission is to break the silence around trauma, reduce stigma, and empower communities to heal together.

Healthy social connection is key to resilience and recovery.

Constantly retelling painful events without a healing purpose or safe support can re-open wounds.
Avoid Ignoring Emotions
Suppressing or dismissing feelings like sadness, fear, or anger can build inner pressure. Phrases like “stop crying” or “you’re too sensitive” can cause more harm.
